FARMERS NATIONAL COMPANY

I wish to thank you and your staff for the excellent job you have done on my farm this past year. I own 240 acres of land in Antelope County. Before you took over management of these acres, I averaged $4000 per year after expenses. The farm was a mess there were volunteer trees and weeds all over, the irrigation engine was covered in oil and grease, the booster pump was missing, there were trees in the way of the pivot not allowing a full circle, etc. When your farm manager Jerome took over he found a great farmer to work these acres. In less than a month the volunteer trees were removed, the ditches and weeds were mowed, the trees in the way of the pivot removed, and the crop planted. The farm looks great and the income off of the farm tripled after expenses. I am very please and would highly recommend Farmers National.

Thank You

Nancy

Success Story:
Success story:

Improved an 80 acre tract of pasture that was part of a 160 acre farm in south-central part of Stanton County, Nebraska.

The mission was to improve the income producing potential of the 78 acres of pasture. The balance of the farm is also highly erodible. We placed three horizontal terraces across the farm ground to head off the heavy rains.

The client’s first love was to farm the ground. but due to the sod buster issues, we would have to install approximately 15 acres of terraces on the 78 acres of pasture and a no till farming practice.

After looking into other options and the study of the EQUIP program, the cost share incentive, we were able to install three earth dams, upgrade the existing well, install cross fences, position water tanks to set up a rotational grazing program.

The original cash rent for the pasture prior to 2000 before taxes were $25 per acre. During the crop years of 2004 and 2005 the income increased to $78.00 and $72.50 respectively for the crop years.
