Success Story:
Recently, I signed up a new farm in Mississippi for management with a client living in Texas. She had been cash renting the farm for over 20 years to the same operator and wanted to see if we could increase the rental rate. We were able to negotiate a new lease with the same operator at the current market rate for cash rent for the area. It resulted in a 30% increase in her annual income! We also included in the lease terms that ownership of irrigation equipment previously installed by the operator belongs to the owner at the end of the lease.
