Frequently Asked Questions

Living Trust

Do you have your property or autos titled in a living trust? If so, have you let your insurance agent know? Any property or auto title that has been transferred into the owner's living trust needs to have that living trust listed on the homeowner's and/or automobile policies. It should also be listed on any umbrella policy for excess liability insurance. Usually the name of the trust can be included on the policy at no extra cost.

Umbrella Policies

If you are involved in a serious accident, do you have the finances available if you are sued? Unfortunately these days anyone can be sued and the limits on your personal insurance policy may not be enough. Fortunately, many insurance companies offer a personal umbrella policy. With a personal umbrella you can mount a powerful defense against the financial burden of personal litigation. This valuable umbrella protection picks up where your primary personal insurance policies leave off; expanding the liability coverage you many need if a serious accident does occur.
