Property description: LAND AUCTION! Tuesday, January 17, at 7:00 PM. Auction will be held at the Musser Brothers Auction Facility - 3035 Rickenbacker Drive - Pasco, Washington. This is a working farm consisting of private ownership and Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) leased land. It is pivot irrigated and has some CRP land, some void, non-cropped land in the ravines and some roads and right-of-ways crossing through the property.
There are approximately 1753+/- acres owned and 173.8+/- acres of DNR land controlled through a long-term lease. Of the total acreage, 914+/- of the owned acres and 173.8+/- of the DNR acres are farmed under pivots. There are a total of 607+/- acres in CRP. Plantings are 2011 with some in the spring and some in the fall season. In addition, there are approximately 232 acres of unusable ground in roads, Right-of-Ways and ravines. Some of that may be suitable to add into the CRP plantings, or add to them through habitat enhancement programs in the future.
This operation is located in Benton County Washington, approximately six miles north of Paterson and one mile west of SR 221 on the north side of Horrigan Road. The pump on the DNR leased property is a 200hp pump that is not included in the lease transfer unless there is additional compensation negotiated since it is not owned by DNR.
