Bid to Lease Vermillion Rise Mega Park

Vermillion Rise Mega Park is one of the most unique mega sites in the world. The single-owner site covers 7,155 acres (11 square miles) in Vermillion County, just south of Newport, Indiana.

The Mega Park's allocated land uses achieve a near 50/50 split between natural and built areas with abundant parkland, natural and open spaces, agriculture and forestry surrounding areas designated for business and technology, conference, and support facilities and highway-oriented commercial development.

The Mega Park has been created on the site of a deactivated US Army Depot. It is surrounded on all sides by agricultural fields and woodlands, isolating it from population areas and providing a measure of security, yet it is close to all major transportation routes.

Vermillion Rise Mega Park has hired the professional services and expertise of Farmers National Company to implement their plan for the agricultural portion of the Mega site.

Vermilion Rise is allowing each individual or entity the opportunity to bid on the Blue Farm.

We appreciate your interest in bidding on the tillable acres contained on this property. You will find the necessary information needed for your bid process on the website. If you should have additional questions, please contact one of the individuals with Farmers National Company shown below.

A bidding sheet has been included for you to submit your bid and requested information. The bidding sheet may be printed and completed or completed online and returned; however, all bids must be signed, returned, and/or delivered on or before 11:59 PM on August 28, 2017.

The awarded contract will be for a one-year period with a four-year option. Mandatory improvements must be completed on or before schedule due dates as determined by Farmers National Company. Failure to complete improvements on time will be subject, at the lessee's expense, a determined value set by FNC.

All cash rents will be payable March 1, 2018.

All cash rents shall be adjusted annually at the discretion of Farmers National Company. The adjusted cash rent will be a reflection of current local rental markets and may be adjusted upward or downward based on comparable cash rents.
