Business As Usual--Albeit a Bit Different Sometimes
You are here:   Blog  »  Farm and Ranch Management

March 30, 2020

There is no need to mention that we are in unprecedented times throughout the world and in our own neighborhoods as the news about Covid-19 is constant and the social distancing is real. The toll on human lives and the health care system is tragic. The 1918 Flu was far more devastating to the health of people at that time, but today we are experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic in a vastly more interconnected society that is more financially wired with many more interdependent businesses at the same time an oil pricing battle is raging.

Farmers National Company was founded 90 years ago during the Great Depression.  The company has faced big challenges over the years and grown while living through the Depression years, World War II, the Farm Crisis, the Great Recession, and now the Covid-19 Pandemic that we will get through. The Company has weathered these storms and more by keeping two guiding principles in the forefront; serving the needs of its clients and supporting the well-being of its employees and associates.

Farmers National Company is following the federal, state, and local guidelines for combating the spread of the virus in order to safeguard the health and well-being of its employees and associates. At the same time, we are carrying on with business as usual the best ways we can. Client revenue is being deposited and accounted for, oil and gas management activity continues, reports are being sent to clients, bills are being paid, real estate sales are happening, appraisals are being completed, hunting land is being leased, to mention just a few of the normal business activities at Farmers National Company. Clients know that their asset is being well taken care of during these times, although some things may be a bit slower than normal.

It is too soon to tell how the current and lingering effects of the pandemic will ultimately impact the assets we manage and the land we sell for clients. Uncertainty and the unknowns are abundant all around us at this time. But one thing is known and that is that our clients' assets and sales will be handled professionally as is normal by our dedicated employees and associates at Farmers National Company.
