There is a tremendous amount of suffering right now for individuals and our country whether it is health related or a person's current economic situation. Hopefully we will be turning the corner soon on the spread of Covid-19 and the local, state, and federal safety net support will get in place to help weather the economic storm. The economic impacts on individuals, our country, and specifically agriculture are not all known at this time, but will undoubtedly have a long tail effect. But more importantly, we need to take time to say thanks to those who take care of our health and provide the food we eat.
Thank you goes to all the health care professionals and first responders on the front lines of taking care of the sick. Nurses and doctors are working to their limits to provide care to those in need. Also, thank you goes to local, state, and federal government employees and non-profit organizations who are working to provide essential services for health and on-going business.
Another important thank you goes to those in our food supply chain making sure we have food to eat. This includes farmers, ranchers, field laborers, meat and food processing employees, distribution and transportation workers, grocery store workers, and others in between.
We will once again return to talking about agriculture and the land market, but it is appropriate to pause and say thanks to those going above and beyond to keep everyone healthy and provide food to eat.
