Yes, we have over 100 field offices strategically placed.

  What are the qualifications of your farm managers?
Our managers must have been raised on a farm, have a bachelor's degree in agriculture or related fields, with practical agricultural experience. Followed by special intensive training by Farmers National Company. We encourage our farm managers to become accredited through the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA). Currently we have over 75 Accredited Farm Managers (AFM) on Staff.

  Since I enjoy the management of my farm, why should I hire you?
Many of our landowners experience an even greater satisfaction from their farm when they work with us. Our management style will allow you to become even more acquainted with your farm, and you can be as involved as you like.

  How is my money handled?
Your money is deposited to a trust account and is not co-mingled with Farmers National Company corporate funds.

  Do I control expenditures?
Yes. We ask for limited authority to pay day-to-day operating bills. You must authorize any expenditure in excess of that amount. You are provided full budgets and anticipated expenses in advance.

  Do you pay all bills?
Yes, after they are checked for accuracy by the farm manager and audited by our accounting department.

  How often do you visit my farm?
As often as necessary to assure maximum management results. (Visitation schedules vary depending on the crops grown, with our most frequent visitation schedule every five weeks during the growing season.)

  How often do I receive a written report?
After each regular visit by the farm manager as well as special supplemental reports and correspondence as needed.

  Do operators resent your management?
Good operators like it and appreciate our help in making money for them and our clients. Often our clients have a friendship with their operator, and farm management allows them to maintain their friendship while still having a business relationship on the farm.

  Will you work with my current farm operator?
Yes, if you have a good farm operator, we can maintain the relationship. If you need a new operator, we can locate one for you.

  If I want to sell my farm, can you help?
Yes, all of our managers are licensed real estate agents and sell farms in addition to their management duties. FNC also has many sales associates that specialize in farm sales.

  Is your fee a deductible item for income tax purposes?
Yes.

  Does your fee cover everything or are there extra charges?
Yes, our full management fee covers everything except any remote rental litigation.

  What should I look for when selecting a professional farm manager?
Look for the following when choosing a manager or company to manage your farm:
  1. Financial responsibility
  2. Proven integrity
  3. Years of successful experience in farm management
  4. Accredited Farm Managers* (AFM), or those working toward their accreditation
  5. An organization that can guarantee continuity of management performance
  6. One that is interested in your land and in your welfare

  Do I have to sign a long-term contract with FNC?
No, all of our contracts are one year in length. We are proud of the fact that we have over 1,600 25-year clients, and over 200 50-year clients, all on one-year contracts. We have to prove our value to our clients each and every year!
