"I inherited my farms some 30 years ago and as a guy who can’t make grass grow in his yard, I was a little frightened. My family had been with Farmers National for 50 years prior to that and Doyle Onnen was handling everything. When I met Doyle, it was obvious that he knew all about my farms and was a good guy. Most importantly, HE KNEW FARMING! During the years, he has always given me very good advice and planned ahead. Now, when I read something, I think: “Doyle taught me that!” Farmers National has backed Doyle up completely and I am pleased with the entire operation." -- C. Andersen, Tennessee
"When we had two farms with five owners living in 4 four states, we knew we needed help. Farmers National was the answer. We've had changes of owners, managers, and farmers but everything continues flawlessly. After 25 plus years, it was an excellent answer." -- A. Eddy
"Often, I think your clients don't realize what a big effort their farm managers go to, to put their farms into first class farm operations. Fortunately, our family has always found Farmers National Company and all of our farm managers, including you, to be ready, willing, and fully capable of making this happen, for each of our farms, over the past fifty-plus years. Thanks for your excellent management for all these big projects for our family's farms." -- Mike Palmer
Our farm in southeast Nebraska has been under management of Farmers National Company for approximately five years. During this time, it has been a pleasure for us to work with Mr. Doyle Onnen, our farm manager. We are very appreciative of not only his professional expertise but also his pleasant demeanor. It is always easy for us to contact Mr. Onnen and he is prompt and patient in responding to our inquiries. His guidance and attention to detail thought the selling process was reassuring and we feel it definitely contributed to a successful sale. We don’t want to miss the opportunity to share with you that our experience working with Mr. Onnen and Farmers National Company has been extremely beneficial and satisfying. - - Hoffman Farms Partnership
The first farm in York County and under my management to have variable speed irrigation pumps in wells installed so that the correct pressure and volume of water is always delivered to the center pivots. For corner system center pivots especially, the systems efficiencies are significantly improved by delivering a steady amount of water as needed for the corner systems as they turn on and off during irrigating. This results in water and fuel savings, as well as less pump wear producing increased profits for the landowner.
On another farm, irrigation was developed on a dryland unit that had suffered from drought for several years. It was generally felt in the area that an economically feasible irrigation system could not be developed due to water being very limited. Through thorough research and testing, I was able to locate a very good water supply for the new center pivot. This farm today has an increased value of $400,000 by virtue of the irrigation project.
Implemented hunting leases on three client farms that have been very successful and improved net income to the landowner significantly.
