A Trusted Voice Joins the FNC Team
For generations, farmland has been more than an asset. It's where families built their livelihoods, raised children, created memories, and established legacies they hope will endure for years to come.
Those stories and the people behind them are at the heart of a new partnership between Farmers National Company and longtime Nebraska broadcaster Kent Pavelka. Known to generations of Nebraska fans as the radio voice of Husker basketball, Kent has spent decades connecting with audiences across Nebraska through storytelling and a trusted, familiar voice.

Now, through a new partnership with Farmers National Company, he'll help tell a different kind of story: the stories of farm and ranch families working to protect their land, preserve their legacies, and plan for future generations.
As part of the collaboration, Kent spent time with Farmers National Company professionals, visiting with team members and learning more about the opportunities and challenges facing today's landowners. Through those experiences, he gained a deeper appreciation for the planning, stewardship, and expertise that help families protect one of their most valuable assets: their land.
"Kent is one of the most trusted voices in Nebraska and throughout the Midwest," said Paul Schadegg, President of Farmers National Company. "His genuine interest in learning about our business, our people, and the landowners we serve makes him a natural fit for Farmers National Company."
For many landowners, the decisions surrounding their property can be deeply personal. Questions about who will inherit the farm, how land should be managed, or what comes next often involve generations of family history. The answers can shape not only the future of the land, but the future of the families connected to it.
Those themes struck a chord with Kent as he learned more about the company's work.
"This is personal for me," said Pavelka. "Partnering with Farmers National Company brings me back to my roots, to my family's pioneering and farming heritage in Webster County, Nebraska, and to the mystery and magic of living on and caring for the land. It is a calling that deserves to be appreciated and nurtured. That's why I am proud to be named an Ambassador for Farmers National Company. I'm looking forward to sharing their story and highlighting the important work this special company has been doing right here in Nebraska for nearly 100 years."
Over the coming months, Pavelka will participate in radio advertising, digital content, client events, educational outreach, and other initiatives designed to connect with farm, ranch, and mineral owners across the region. Together, Farmers National Company and Kent will work to bring greater awareness to the opportunities, challenges, and decisions facing today's landowners.
As Farmers National Company approaches its 100th anniversary in 2029, the partnership reflects the values that have guided the company for nearly a century: building trusted relationships, providing expert guidance, and helping landowners make confident decisions about the future of their land. By adding a trusted voice to the roster, Farmers National Company hopes to help more landowners preserve what they've built and plan for what comes next.
