About Scott

Scott Dean and his wife Katie reside in Lisco, Nebraska with their three children. Together they own and operate SD Genetics an elite show pig operation. In Scott’s spare time he likes spending time with his family at pig shows across the country and golfing whenever time allows.  

Background  

Scott was born and raised on a diversified livestock operation in Colorado. After completion of high school Scott attended and graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science, upon graduation he entered the agricultural sales force working for a local cooperative as an agronomy salesperson, then with a national seed company as a local seed salesman and crop advisor. After several years in these roles, he took a position as a local sales representative for Big Iron Auctions marketing agricultural machinery across the panhandle of Nebraska.

Scott is a dedicated farm manager and real estate salesperson with Farmers National Company, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a passion for agriculture to every client interaction. Scott specializes in helping landowners and investors maximize the potential of their agricultural assets.  

Scott is adept at developing and implementing customized management plans that optimize yields, control costs, and enhance the overall value of farm operations. Whether its crop production, livestock management, or land improvement projects, Scott is committed to delivering results that exceed expectations.
