Austin has over 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Born into an oil and gas family, he has been surrounded by all the aspects of mineral management from an early age.
He began his career as a petroleum land manager working in the field across multiple basins in Texas and New Mexico. From there he worked for Whiting Petroleum drilling CO2 EOR wells in the Bravo Dome in Northeast New Mexico. Upon completion of the drilling program, he went to managing energy assets for family offices out of Midland and Fort Worth, Texas.
Austin has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Montana State University in Bozeman.
